Personalization lessons from your barista

One of my favorite things to do is to spend time in the coffee shops. I love a good shot of espresso.  There is also this part of me that LOVES being greeted by name. My drink is hot and waiting for me accompanied by the line "Hey Paulie Paulie."  It creates that warm feeling of being known and liked.

It got me thinking, baristas are doing it right. The goal of personalization is the foundation of AudiencePoint. I put together this little tapestry to explain.



I will even give a shout out to our friends at Starbucks and MovableInk, who independent from this tapestry put together their own campaign that focused on personalization, such that the email was personalized on each cup to the recipient of the email.
